Urgent - Senate Bill S 510 Gov't Control of Food

The Senate is scheduled to vote this afternoon at 2pm ET on S 510 which is a food safety bill. It may seem like a good idea considering the many recalls for spinach, eggs, peanut butter and so many more. However, the bill as written would give the government control over food we grow in our own gardens and even make it illegal to save seeds. It puts food production under Homeland Security and would overburden small local organic farmers with government regulations and gives the Gov't far reaching authority. The bill also sells out our U.S. Sovereignty by ceding to the authority of both the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Codex Alimentarius. As this video states, it is clear to judge S 510 by the large organizations who are for it and the natural/organic farmers and small farm organizations who oppose it. It is urgent that we protect our right to organic, local food without government intervention.
